Following Any Good Trends Lately?

I've never really been a trend follower...to be honest when it comes to fashion I've always done my own thing. Not to say that I have not partaken in a trend or two in my day.
I can remember the 90's when Lil' Kim was rocking the colorful furs and puffy coats. I had the great idea to spray paint these grey short waisted puffy coats that my girlfriend and I had gotten from the Gap. Oh, the color? Metallic Silver!!! They came out so amazing. Never mind, the fact that the spray paint would rub off and you would periodically have to touch up the paint. Ironically enough, a few years ago I found a metallic silver puffy vest at Victoria's Secret, yup I have it in my closet right now. When I saw it I had to have it just because!
This summer seasons trends did not disappoint. While trends at times can be juvenile in my opinion, for instance the micro-mini-mini skirt, there are a few that I could definitely get into.
The Crochet/Knit Dress - Easy to wear and comfortable, and you know how I feel about a stylish comfy look.
The Cut-Out - The perfect trend to give a little skin or a lot. I love this trend! The cut out dress, the skirt, the top all of the iterations are GOOD!!!!!

The Linen Two Piece - I love a good two piece anything. They add so much versatility to your wardrobe. They can be worn as separates or together creating an endless number of looks.

The Satin Slip Dress - My favorite of all the trends this season. This one can be worn casually or formally. A heel or sneaker, sandals or flip-flops this little dress can take you from day to night in a moments notice.
The one thing I like most about trends is you can take them and make them your own, which of course is true to fashion period. In choosing whichever trend you decide to partake in this season do me a favor and make sure to have fun and rock it according to your rules.
Love the red bow flats. If memory serves me I think I remember Kim from RHOA wearing them, maybe a heel though. Super cute💯
